Terms of use
Last updated October 5, 2026
These terms are a draft and are being reviewed before Settled Years launches.
Settled Years is operated by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME] ("we"). By using settledyears.com you agree to these terms.
What Settled Years is
Settled Years explains Medicare and Social Security rules and applies them to the details you enter. It is educational information to help you make your own decisions.
- It is not legal, tax, financial, investment or insurance advice.
- We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or acting for Medicare, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, or the Social Security Administration.
- We do not sell insurance, recommend specific insurance companies or plans, or receive commissions from them.
Accuracy
We build our calculations from official sources and check them carefully, but rules and amounts change, and our results depend on the details you provide. Always confirm important dates and amounts with the Social Security Administration, Medicare, or a qualified professional before you act. Amounts for future years are labeled as estimates until the government publishes them.
Your responsibilities
- Enter accurate information, and check every answer on a form before you sign or send it.
- Keep access to your email secure, since sign-in links are sent there.
- Don't misuse the service, try to access other people's information, or interfere with how it runs.
Accounts
You can delete your account at any time from your plan page. We may suspend accounts that misuse the service.
Payments
Plans are a one-time payment per household, shown on our pricing page, and include updates and reminders for 24 months. Payments are processed by Stripe. [REFUND POLICY TO BE ADDED BEFORE PAID PLANS LAUNCH.]
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Settled Years is provided "as is," and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including penalties, premiums or benefits affected by decisions you make. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of [STATE WHERE THE LLC IS FORMED].
